A few things:

1) First, Kaepernick had been "told" by someone that they had seen white supremacists, klansmen, white nationalists wearing pins depicting the Betsy Ross flag.

2) They asked a number of historians if there was any such connection, and the response was negative. No one has ever heard of this but Kaepernick. I'm guessing that at least one white nationalist has at some point in their life worn a pair of Nike shoes. Does this mean that Nike should be closed for business because of that? Insane reasoning from Kaepernick.

3) Betsy Ross was a Quaker. Quakers were in good part responsible for the appeal and success of the abolitionist movement against slavery, which gained traction over the decades to the point where Northerners formed the Republican Party and nominated Abraham Lincoln as their anti-slavery candidate and then president. We fought the Civil War because of the ideals of people like Betsy Ross.

I am sorry that Colin Kapernick was educated by the American educational system. Basic historical facts and information slipped him by, just like most "woke" Democrat activists who think Republicans owned slaves and wrote Jim Crow laws (those were Democrats behind those things, by the way.)
